Whether you do it indoors or outdoors, grilling is the most popular way
to prepare a steak. Grilling Heartland Steaks is quick, easy and
usually doesn't leave much for clean up. Follow these tips for a
perfect Heartland steak every time.

Choose the right steak to grill. Steaks best for grilling are tender
cuts such as Ribeyes, Filet Mignon, T-Bones and Porterhouses. Any of
Heartland Steaks Certified Angus Beef® steaks are perfect for the
grill. Our steaks offer abundant marbling for extra flavor and are cut
thick to withstand the heat from the grill.

Pre-Heat the grill to a high temperature-so that it's almost smoking.
Drop the temperature before placing on the meat to Medium (hold your
hand over the grill, if you can keep it there for four seconds, this is
considered Medium.) If your grill is too hot your steaks may char on
the outside and by rare on the inside. Too high of heat makes it
difficult to evenly cook a steak.

Bring steaks to room temperature (68-72 degrees) before they go on any
hot surface. By cooking steaks at cooler temperatures, the shock of
hitting the hot grill will affect the flavor and texture of the meat.
To keep your steaks juicy take them out of the refrigerator for a half
hour to an hour before cooking.

Place steaks on the grill and cook. It's tempting to keep turning the
steaks, but in order to achieve beautiful grill marks and even cooking,
turn the steaks only once. Always use tongs, never a fork, puncturing
the steaks with a fork will allow the juices to leave the steak.
Depending on the grill, your cook times will vary. Rare (140-150
degrees)is usually 6-7 minutes, Medium(160 degrees) is 9-12 minutes and
12-15 minutes for well(170 degrees). Use the hand test or a meat
thermometer to help you determine the temperature of your steaks.

Once your steak is to your preferred temperature, take off the heat and
let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving. Heartland Steaks
are delicious on their own and don't need any additional sauces or
marinades. If you want to enhance the natural flavors of our premium
products, just a little salt or Heartland Steaks' own Barbeque
Seasoning should do the trick.

Seems at though most spammers are using gmail accounts these days. Too
scared to use a legitimate account. You can be sure that I, as well as some
others here, will now avoid your products.

It probably allows them to filter out all the nasty replies they
get in return.

Okay, I have question. If I put advertisement in my tagline, does that
count as "spamming"? It's a subtle advertisement that I see lots of
folks have in their signature line on Usenet and on Internet forums. I
have a gmail account because I like google, but I can take out the
tagline if it is offensive.

Just let me know. Thank you.

People that are active in the group, use a tag line, are usually welcome and
not considered spamming. When the sole purpose of a post is to advertise a
product or web site for commercial gain, that is unacceptable.

If we see you post on various topics, you participate and help others, we
will soon know who you are, what you do, and probably visit your web page
and perhaps buy from you if you are a commercial entity. When posters treat
people here as idiots by starting a post with "I just found this great web
site . . . . . ." it is obvious you are just shilling for yourself or a
friend.

I've posted my good experiences with on line suppliers as Penzeys,
theingredientstore, teatrader, and a few others. We've all done that at one
time or another, usually because someone asked for a recommendation.

What is wrong with Filet Mignon? I like beef tenderloin. It is my preferred
but of beef. When cooked properly they are wonderful. The problem for most
people is that they are squeamish about eating red or pink meat, and IMO a
tenderloin is overcooked if there is not some rawness to it.

So you're selling branded, un-graded meat and telling people to cook it
at low heat.

Classic.
