We brought him home today. A 6-month-old long haired dachshund.
Check the pictures.

OBFood: I'm doing something curry-like with chicken thighs tonight.
Maybe I'll post pix of that, too.

Oh man I LOVE dachshunds! We had a wire-haired, but he was a nervous
little thing. I don't think most are - for some reason the wire-haired
ones are :/ When I was pregnant with our first daughter he snapped at
a little girl that was trying to pet him...needless to say we don't have
him anymore I will get one again some day - when the girls are older
though

He is soooo cute. Love those little legs. What's his name?

D named him Lefty after the Townes Van Zandt song "Pancho and Lefty."
Apparently the next one's gonna be Pancho. He's a funny little guy,
too. He discovered himself in the mirror in our bedroom this evening
and tried to play. He even ran into the next room to find that other
dog.

OBFood: I made the grilled curried chicken thighs too salty tonight.
Too much fish sauce in the marinade, and then I reduced it. Oh well.

Yeah. And you oughta see him with his "baby," trotting around the
house like it's the Easter parade.

OBFood: Anybody here ever freeze cooked French green lentils and
reheat them a few weeks later? I had a texture issue with them
tonight.

Great name! What's the other half?

OBFood: I should have sliced up an apple to go with the chicken
tonight. Might have helped cut the salt a little.
