Default Happy Dance! New Weber BBQ

After several weeks of umming and ahhing at BBQs we have decided on a
Weber Genesis Silver B 3-burner gas BBQ. Its slow cooking properties
will suit my style of cooking.
I am so excited; it will be delivered this Thursday so I am already
planning the first meal. Probably large roast pork with chili dry rub,
lightly smoked with hickory and two finishing chili sauces, Carolina
Slaw, Appetiser could be grilled crab stuffed habernaro peppers.
Followed by Mexican Chocolate Cake with Mexican Chocolate Icecream.

Yee Haaa!!

Cheers

Congratulations, Bronwyn! You will love your Weber. We loved ours, but
left it in Ohio when we moved to AZ. We now have another brand that I like
almost as well, but I'm looking forward to having another Weber.

Your first meal sounds wonderful!!!

I bought this exact model earlier this summer. It is fantastic, especially
for indirect cooking of ribs, chicken, etc.

Wondering if you made your Mexican Chocolate Ice Cream (and Mexican
Chocolate Cake, too). I was reading in Zarela's cookbook about Mexican
chocolate that is imported to the U.S. vs. what we in the U.S. are able to
buy. Curious.
Thanks.

Thanks Al. that makes me feel confident, one often worries about
whether the choice was correct. Being in Oz, I wondered whether you
guys 'over there' would see this model as superceded or somesuch.....

Don't hold back, Bronwyn. Aren't you even the *tiniest* bit happy
about this purchase?

I'll have to pass on dinner (too spicy), but save me some dessert,
okay?

Congratulations!

I ...will... be making these. For the first time; but I feel
confident. The mexican chocolate is Nestles Abuelita brand. I've used
it in moles etc. It is in the icecream -- but the cake is just a
Mexican recipe using dutch cocoa powder in the cake and dark and light
block choc. in the ganache.
I'll post the recipes after we have 'tested' them g. I am now
commited now, aren't I? LOL

Cheers
