Default BJs & the Maverick Redi-Chek xmitting Thermometer

I returned the Maverick I bought from Bed Bath and Beyond for $40 and
bought the exact same one at BJs for $22.

I tested the new thermometer on me and this time I got 99 degrees.
Last time it only got up to 95. The tip of the Maverick is where the
temperature sensor is, so this time I put it under the center of my
tongue, guarantying that it touched a surface.

There is only a 90 day guaranty, something I did not like because
these thermometers fall to the floor a few times, at least until you
have perfected oven exits and entrances but for that price, I couldn't
resist. I really love the remote feature because I like to watch the
progess without opening the oven and if the door to my office is
closed or I am outside, I still get beeped.

One of the thermometers, the Pyrex, has a lifetime guaranty but no
transmission to a remove, but I wonder what they'd do if it was
dropped.
