Chocolate Pie Crust

Recipe By amsel
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
15 Oreos -- crushed
1/4 cup melted butter

1. Mix together and press into sides and bottom of pie pan.

2. Bake at 350F for 7 minutes. Cool.

Peppermint Pie

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
24 large marshmallows
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup milk
1/2 pint whipping cream -- whipped
4 drops peppermint extract
green food coloring
2 ounces semisweet chocolate -- shaved

1. Prepare and cool Chocolate Pie Crust.

2. Melt marshmallows together with 3/4 cup milk.

3. Mix corn starch with 1/4 cup milk.

4. Combine marshmallow and corn starch mixtures in saucepan. Cook until thick. Cool, stirring occasionally.

5. After cooled, fold in whipped cream. Add food coloring and flavoring. Pour into cooled crust

6. Trim top with shaved chocolate and refrigerate overnight.

Note: Double the recipe for a 9x13-inch pan.
