"cuarteen" is derived from the infinitive "cuartear", to quarter. But, it's
also used to mean cracking or falling apart. That an "rompan" are a bit
redundant, but she's trying to be as descriptive as she can, I guess. I was
about to question why she wants to know how to cook yucca, but maybe she's
not from the Caribbean where it's popular.

Better spanish version
You can make my recipe of Polpette di Melanzane (eggplants rollball) , and
add to the mixture some minced soia. Of course you add eggs and some rice
breadcrumbs. Try
They are good!

What would you advise if you had a great tasting crab cake recipe, but no
matter how carefully to turned them, they fell apart? More bread crumbs or
something? Maybe a similar thing would work for her veggie burgers. I can
translate it with the help of a Puerto Rican friend and post it here.

I like to process/grind cooked black beans with onion, egg, brad crumbs,
oil, and spices (salt, pepper, cumin, chile and what you like). Make
"burgers" and cook them in a pan or on the grill. For more details
search the web for black bean cakes.

Thanks, Luis - I was just thinking about attempting to make veggie
burgers the other day. How do you think pinto beans would fare in
this?
