'make fun' of us. Of course, the only person you're really making fun
of is yourself, albeit unintentionally. I wonder if you are in any
state to realize it.

I think it's more like taking the same seat for each class in a college
classroom. Or buying all the books in a series, or by a publisher of a
particular genre. I'd bet that people selectively remember particular names,
and then speak to the names they remember. "Jane? I like the name Jane
.. . . and she's talking about suet, I know that."

My Dear One does that. He also gets upset when I leaf to the end of a book.

By the way, yesterday I cooked my oatmeal in the ham crock pot leavings. It
was much too salty. Any opinions about this practice?

Sorry, my fault for poor phrasing.

I crockpotted a ham in various things, including water and cinnamon. After the
ham was gone, and I had scraped off the fat, I was left with what I guess one
could call aspic. Cooked oatmeal in it.

Why? because ham is not cheap, and I hate waste.

rest. It *was* too salty, though.
