Not often...only when I deploy (which I haven't done since I arrived
at Keesler, for obvious reasons).

First off, I would say that the new MREs are FAR, FAR superior to the
old MREs. A vast world of difference. Now that that's out of the
way...

(and remember...I don't like anything spicier than butter <grin>...so
I didn't really look for variety, but rather "what I know I like")

I remember the turkey meal being the one I always looked for first. I
also remember liking one that was chicken and pasta or something like
that.

Just out of curiousity...how does this follow from my conversation
regarding following orders?

I realized something was terribly wrong with that link when I clicked
"recipes".

I grew up a few miles from Keesler. This was pre-casino days.

We took a case of surplus MREs camping a couple of years ago. I
was real hungry, and they were always good enough to eat. I
think I'd get tired of them on any rotation shorter than about
three weeks (how many different meals are there, usually?).

Can I have your tobasco? One of those tiny bottles was never
enough.

Jay's been on a "change the subject to food" kick for months.

I eat MRE's about as often as I eat dog-crap <G>. Seriously, they're
ok for what they're designed for. But you have a lot cheaper, better
choices these days for substitues for the ole MRE. I guess if you're
stricken with the "runs", they could be helpfull. Kinda like swilling
a concrete milkshake.
