I once made this recipe, but have lost it and can't remember the name of the
dish. It is an Italian dish, using yeast dough, and the middle of it had a sausage/onion mixture. It was about 2 1/2 maybe 3 inches high, round, and approximately the size of a medium pizza. It wasn't called pizza. I'm looking all over the net for it and can't find the name mentioned anywhere. Does anyone know this dish? Suzan |

This would serve about 6, cut in pie shaped wedges. I'll have to look up stromboli. It's a start, yes? Suzan |

Isn't stromboli rolled up like a jelly roll? I've never been near one, but looked up the recipe once because of the movie... the recipe absolutely sounded vile. Does anyone know this dish? Besides a calzone, it could be a brioche. Generally you take two equal pieces of dough, spread them out, and put some kind of filling in the middle. Then you pinch the edges down and bake. It is not a calzone because it is normal bread, not pizza dough. -- John Gaughan http://www.johngaughan.net/ |
