I did ask and the trick is to use a really low heat. He told me to set my
pan on 3. I had been using 5. He also said that he felt that the tortillas
had nothing to do with it and that my brand was fine. So... There you have
it! Oh he also uses the flat grill which I don't have.

I didn't know there were universal numbers to set the pan (or grill) on

I learn so much on r.f.c

She needed it directly from the source because we don't know what
we're talking about.

I see them when they are exposed to customers. Taquerias use them
too.

I would assume it is the standard restaurant grill that few people would
have at home. My mom used to have a flat grill/griddle pan.

I made one last night and it was perfect. Lifted right out of the pan with
no breaking.

Your frying pan will do the job. Use it dry. I can't believe you
don't know how to heat up a tortilla without using a microwave.

Dur. The question wasn't how to heat up a tortilla. It was getting the
right texture.

Duh. You NEVER get the right texture of a tortilla when you heat it
in a microwave. Only lazy people who can't cook take that route.
