I think it's absolutely perfect for the people who have show kitchens
and never cook.

Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them.

I got tired of waiting for the page to load, so I didn't actually see
the gizmos.

I gave it 4 seconds and it never loaded so.....that was enough time spent.

But I am sure for 300 bucks, it's something I am living fine without. My kitchen arsenal is about as complete as I need or want it.

Oh I can always think of some little item I would like to add, but
nothing major.

I let it load while I went to the kitchen... I saw a strange 9" pan
(more handle than pan, totally useless). I wouldn't own any pan less
than 10"... I own a 10" SS, a 12" SS, and a 14" carbon steel pan... I
mostly use my 12", my 14" is my wok, excellent for stir frying. I
often use a 6 qt SS braiser for frying, it has high sides (4") so
greatly minimizes spatter to mess up my stove. I have no use for cast
iron cookware, cast iron is a hold over from the days pre modern
stoves/ovens, from when folks cooked/baked directly on wood/coal
embers... folks still talk dutch ovens, but no one here actually has
one, what yoose all call a dutch oven is nothing more than your large
sauce pot... and I'll bet none of yoose actually has an adult sized
pot... an 8 qt pot is toys r us size.

The chef instructor I take classes from also cooks for people giving dinner
parties in their homes. She loves to tell the story about going to a new
client's very upscale home and walking into a kitchen equipped with all the
best Wolfe and Sub-Zero appliances. When she opened the oven door, she saw
that the packing material was still inside and that the oven had never been
used.

Funny thing I saw about 2 years ago. Was painting in a house and the
oven in the "show kitchen" was open and used as a spice rack. I doubt
the guy ever used the spices either. It was all for show.
