Default Late Valentines dinner.... and presents

It will be tonight (15th), but at least she's getting one!!

For the souffle, I picked up some gruyere cheese, as well as emmental, and
was going to mix the two (as in the classic fondue mix), but have decided
(for once) to stick with the recipe and just use emmental. So that will
give it a softer flavour.

Instead of the ocean trout for the main, she who will eat it decided on a
very nice pork cutlet to go with the radish apple and cucumber salad, and
the roast potatos with cummin salt.

For VDay, I got a very nice card, with a selection of artisan fudges, one
being a cherry ripe fudge (cherry ripe being my most favourite chocolate
thing!!). At least it's (the fudges) something I can eat.

She got a Kindle (3G and WiFi), with multipurpose cover, a light, and a
Aust plug in adapter/charger.....(all Kindle accessories for the mentally
challenged.)

She is a voracious reader, and with this one she'll be able to download a
new book just about anywhere in the world.... even sitting by the pool in
Thailand/Bali..... while I'm off jumping out of planes :-)

I'm making grilled lobster, ceaser salad and some sourdough bread of
some sort.

You got her accessories for the mentally challenged? I guess it
explains why she continues to provide for you.

Only someone who himself is provided for (kept) by a woman would think
to say that.

A quick Google check reveals that the impotent little 'man' twitiliger
whined........

"Swallows continues to attack me at every turn, and blames me for every
anonymous post which disagrees with her, so I respond in kind. "

Which just goes to prove that it is a psychotically obsessed, pathetic
little 'man' who lies through it's brown stained teeth to try and make
people believe it's fantasies. All in all, a waste of O2.

Probably why it was kicked out of the Merchant Navy.

Lin is obviously suffering from 'battered partner syndrome'..... I hope
she ditches the loser and finds herself a real man.

Many years ago we decided V day was a commercialised crock, however
Husband said he would still like to buy me flowers. I told him to buy
them on the 15th as they would be cheaper then. It has become a
standing joke that every Feb 15th he has two dozen long stem red roses
delivered to me. I thought he had forgotten yesterday as they did not
turn up at work until 4.10pm. They are beautiful, and not the *no
smell* ones either.

Great surprise when I got home, he had also bought an lovely old
ship's wheel for me(us).

:-)

Both the SO and I also think of those sort of days and 'holidays' are a
crock....... and I go by her Mums motto (about Mothers Day)... if it takes
a highly commercialised 'day' to make you buy me a card and tell me you
love me, you can stick your card.

So, I was buying her the Kindle anyways, it just coincided with VDay, but
arrived on the 15th as well :-)

Poor little girl, DESPERATELY hoping someone believes her!

LOL... Speaking of ditching losers, tell us again about your "retirement" at
age 33! I love that story! (Of course, RUTH didn't retire, did she?)

About 1.7 metres, spoke to spoke. Came out of a deceased estate so do
not have any history with it. I will go over it with a magnifying
glass to see if there are any names or markings that may give me a
small start to do a bit of research.
