Default Coconuts are DONE!!

Recipe:

One 14Oz bag shredded sweetened coconut
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond

Mix well, roll into balls, dip in dark chocolate.

Looks good. When my kids were little, I would made these at Christmas
time, my kids called them Reindeer Balls. ;-) I smile every time I see
them.

This reminds me of a sweet that I haven't made in years - and am going
to put on my "to do" list for Christmas baking and cooking:

@@@@@ Now You're Cooking! Export Format

Gooey Balls

cookies

1/4 pound butter
1 cup dates; chopped
2 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups Rice Krispies®
1 cup pecans; chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
coconut

Cook dates in melted margarine until soft. Add egg yolks and sugar.
Stir over low heat until mixture is gooey. Add Rice Krispies, pecans
and vanilla. Make into small balls with buttered hands and roll in
coconut.

Freezes well.
