Default Atlas Pasta Machine problem

I have an Atlas Pasta machine with the hand crank and adjustable thickness
dial (spring load dial with 9 settings). I think I have damaged it and I am
interested if anyone else has experienced this type of damage and has been
able to repair it.

Symptoms:
1.) It appears the back roller which is moved to adjust the thickness is
warped. The pasta comes out with a wavy. That is, the pasta sheet is thinner
in some place than others. I can clearly see the roller moving closer and
then farther away from the other roller.

2.) I can not tell for sure, but I think the dial is suppose to assist
locking this roller. The dial on my machine does not see to do this.

Do these symptoms sound familiar? If you have experienced this, was it
permanent damage or were you able to repair it?

I have seen this website.
http://www.desiredcreations.com/howT...AtlasMaint.htm. But it does not
seem to fit my situation.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Can't help you with that one...

For mine, the dial pulls out slightly before you turn the dial, then
sort of pops back in. This locks the mechanism.

If your roller is warped, give Atlas a call. Maybe they can send you a
replacement. OTOH, if you have no moral problems with it, you could
also buy a new one, do a fast substitute, and return the warped one.
Uh, I didn't really suggest that.
