Oh come on now, you are getting way more defensive than my comments
warranted.
I was just suggesting that the info might have been too detailed for people
who barely know the man, that's all.

I wasn't saying you shouldn't have posted it, in fact, if you bothered to
read what I said, I agreed that it was best to take to email.

I'm sorry..I really wish Michael a speedy & full recovery, but I just
cannot bear to read any more of your rude admonishments of folks
around here.

I realize you must be under a lot of stress if you are close to
Michael and you should be cut some slack for that, but, truly, hon...
....chill. Or maybe get someone else to do this for you. Surely it is
of no benefit to your mental state.

No one here really knows me personally. I'm not part of the network of
old-timers. I don't know Michael. But I surely prayed for his recovery and
worried for his safety when I read the news that you posted here. But you
have indicated that am not eligible for news of his condition. There are
probably many others just like me that continue to be concerned for
Michael's welfare.

That would be me as well. I hope he is doing well and on the mend.
And FTR, not everyone reads every single thread, nor post to a thread,
and I believe there are probably more people in the ng who are
thinking about him and wishing him well, than freaks who wish him ill.
Looks like one ruined it for everybody else, eh? That's too bad.

Find someone with whom you regularly correspond who is on the "approved"
list of Sarah's, and have them update you. That's what I've done.
It's just easier than dealing with all the crap.

I would *want* my private medical info on Usenet, even though I do
know some great people here (like Margaret). The problem is that for
each sweetie, there's some asshole who wants to make folks' lives
miserable. Seems like e-mail is the only way to weed them out...

Right. Which is why i suggested a website, which could be taken down when
the crisis is over. No archives.

Frankly, do most people want the gory details?

there is a middle ground between the type of very personal, very detailed
descriptions we were getting and "Today's Sunday, 12/21, and Michael
continues to improve".

whatever, I have asked a friend to update me when she gets updated, and will
get the info that way. I certainly don't want to burden Sarah any more than
she is already.
