Default Yesterday's Report on Michael (Dog30)

Haven't heard yet today, just a note from Steven's mother. I had sent all the
posts and emails to her to take to Michael. She said he was very touched by it
all.
Helluva way to spend Thanksgiving. I'll try to eat his share. Just a joke,
like Jill, have to laugh to keep from crying.

Sarah

Hi Sarah, it is Monday and I thought I would fill you in on Michael's progress.
There really isn't a lot of improvement. The only thing we know for certain
is that Michael is HIV Negative so you can pass that on to Dr. Ron.

His doctor said that when he was brought into the ER he would consider Michael
on a grade from 0-100 as a level 5 and know he is about a 30 so it appears at
this time that his blood pressure has improved and they are working to reduce
the blood clot in his heart. The infection level is still the same and they
have cut down the dosage of his Morphine drug but he is still on it for the
intense pain.

His spirits were lifted when I took him the e-mail responses you sent and
forwarded. Thanks to all of you for being so kind and taking the time to send
him your notes.

We can only see him for an hour from 11-12, 2-3, 5-6 & 8-9 so we are taking
turns visiting. Of course he hasn't eaten and can only have ice chips as they
have a tube in his stomach pumping out the nasty stuff. So no Turkey Day for
Mike. Steve and I and his family will be with him off and on during the day as
we are every day so I will send along your messages if you would like to send
them to me.

Thanks and God Bless all of you,

For all those spouting jingoes about the need to go to war with Iraq now,
go down on the capital mall and look at the Vietnam Memorial."

Thanks, Sarah. Tell him I'm wearing out the beads! But I can get more!
Get hold of that wishbone from the turkey and pull! Tell him I send a
gentle hug and am figuring that if he's not gonna make it to New York,
I'll just have to meet him another time! God be with us.

Thanks for the update, Sarah -- I only wish it were better news. Here is a
little "foodie" humor for Michael, got it from:

http://www.jokecenter.com/jokes/Thanksgiving/195.htm

Step 2: Take a drink of whiskey, scotch, or JD
Step 3: Put turkey in the oven
Step 4: Take another 2 drinks of whiskey
Step 5: Set the degree at 375 ovens
Step 6: Take 3 more whiskeys of drink
Step 7: Turn oven the on
Step 8: Take 4 whisks of drinky
Step 9: Turk the bastey
Step 10: Whiskey another bottle of get
Step 11: Stick a turkey in the thermometer
Step 12: Glass yourself a pour of whiskey
Step 13: Bake the whiskey for 4 hours
Step 14: Take the oven out of the turkey
Step 15: Take the oven out of the turkey
Step 16: Floor the turkey up off the pick
Step 17: Turk the carvey
Step 18: Get yourself another scottle of botch
Step 19: Tet the sable and pour yourself a glass of turkey
Step 20: Bless the saying, pass and eat out

Best wishes - J.J. (j*ni)
