Default Re-warm jambalaya in crock pot

I want to serve a chicken and sausage jambalaya for a poker party. I
would like to cook it the night before and re-warm and serve it in a
crock pot the next night. Has anyone done this and how were the
results? Any secrets I should follow would be appreciated. Thanks.

I must admit, I don't think I've ever used my CP to rewarm anything that
wasn't cooked in it. It strikes me as not-a-good-idea and I'm not sure
why. Why not just start the jambalaya in the CP that morning?
