Default Caviar for the Holidays. :-)

Am considering trying Paddlefish caviar since it is a farmed product,
so no guilt trip. :-) I've had some of the less expensive fresh
caviars from Central Market in the past, but have mostly eaten
"Rominoff" brand Lumpfish caviar, which is essentially canned fish
eggs.

No comparison at _all_ to the fresh stuff.

Has anyone tried the paddlefish caviar and if so, were you impressed?

Yes I have and no I wasn't. There is sturgeon farming being practiced in
the US with results that impressed me. Try:

http://www.sterlingcaviar.com/

Or, if price is not an issue, order from Petrossian.

Mmmmm thanks! :-)
That is good news...
I was beginning to really worry about
the sturgeon population!

Now if they could just harvest the roe without killing the fish.....

Thanks for the link!
