Default Was Gullah cookbook

Try Googling 'GeeChee" I remember my father referring to the Gullah's and
that they spoke 'geechee'. I remember growing up on the NC/SC boarder that
there were a number of migrant farmers who spoke fluent 'geech' and taught
us kids a few things. I also remember the cooking.......a slight twist on
soul food as it was mixed with SC Low Country cooking.

Yep, the other slaves called them "GeeChee's" (in a derogatory way). I
gather the terms are interchangeable. We may be going to the Gullah
restaurant for lunch today. Just have to see how things play out.
