I am looking for a frozen pea soup recipe can anyone help me?? There are two possibilities, depending on what you mean. One is, thaw container of frozen pea soup, put contents in pan, heat to simmering. The other is, make pea soup, then freeze it. Which did you have in mind? -aem |

I thought it was a third possibility, which is "make soup from frozen peas". I do it this way: Toss a quart of chicken stock and a pound of frozen peas in a soup pot with just enough added water to cover, and bring to a boil. Add salt and whatever veggies/herbs/spices you're in the mood for -- I go for just onion, celery, and a good amount of black pepper. Simmer for 10-20 minutes. Blend and add a bit of cream. Serve hot or cold. Serene |
