My favorite pasta sauce is a good puttanesca sauce. I had some zesty Italian sausage and added that to the sauce. Browned the sausage then added some garlic, a little oregano and some dry white wine to deglaze, I'm out of red wine :-( http://i31.tinypic.com/2v2gjup.jpg Added some Trader Joe's starter tomato sauce and anchovies. http://i25.tinypic.com/243lydz.jpg Then some Nicoise olives, capers and red pepper flakes. http://i29.tinypic.com/30mbe9w.jpg Served over some organic multigrain angel hair pasta then topped with fresh ground Parmesan cheese and a sprinkling of chopped parsley. http://i29.tinypic.com/10mrb5g.jpg Mmmm leftovers for lunch tomorrow. koko --- http://www.kokoscorner.typepad.com updated 5/11 "There is no love more sincere than the love of food" George Bernard Shaw |
