I can't say I approve of Statbuck's terminology but I think it's rather funny. Ms P I'd eat half the potato, take the other half home and call it a day. :~) kili I can barely eat the potato, forget about the bread basket. Mrs.P is projecting her fat self on everyone else. Jill oooh, "you're FAT!". Devastating comeback! Wrong. Apparently I'm the only one that understands what servings are and how many servings you should have in one day. Wrong. Go to any nutritionist and get an education. Ms P i think jill is projecting her stupid self on everyone else. Sub "argumentative" for "stupid" above and I agree. Enough stupid drama-queening to go around on both sides, here. I don't know why the drama, when the serving size on the package (or the official serving size of fruits and veg) doesn't match up very well with what most people consider a regular serving. I mean, those lunch sized bags of chips are often marked as "2 servings". WTF? My theory (and I could be wrong on this) is to lessen the impact of, say, fat and sodium per serving. Funny math, as it were. But as someone said, you're allowed to have more than one "serving". Just keep track of what you're having. (And I have also seen baked potatoes that could easily feed two hungry people as a side, 2 USDA servings each. One of those and you've almost got your recommended five per day, right there.)
