I just this week saw a truck in Atlanta with the company name on the side saying something like Smith Veal Farm (I forget the exact name). I can't say I've ever seen a Veal company name used like that before? I wondered if they get a lot of harassment from PETA types? |

I don't know about veal trucks but I saw the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile on my way to the Savannah airport! Speaking of veal, I have some nice thick veal chops. I think I'll do this with them: Veal Chops "Four Seasons" 2 veal chops (rib chops, 1 inch thick) 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. dried crushed rosemary 1/2 tsp. crumbled leaf sage 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. olive oil Combine flour, herbs, salt & pepper. Dredge chops in flour to coat. Saute chops, turning occasionally, 15-20 minutes. You want them done (at most) medium-rare. Remove to a plate and serve with similarly browned baby artichoke hearts. If we hadn't been on the other side of a divided highway I swear he'd have turned around and followed it. As it was he spent the rest of the drive to the airport humming "wish I had an Oscar Mayer weiner". LOL And we both had weiner-whisltes as kids. Jill |
