Dave Thomas rolls over in grave.

It shouldn't be long before they add Arby's menu to Wendy's stores.

Arby's: "Saving the world from ordinary fast food." YEAH, RIGHT!!!

I like fast food on occasion. At least in this part of the world,

Wendy's
has always been reliably decent fast food. Guess that's about to change.

TammyM,

I wish I could predict ordinary fast food becoming extra-ordinary but sadly
I can't! LOL!!!

Best,

Andy

Perhaps extraordinarily bad. Does that count? Since we don't eat beef,
haven't been to either in many years.

I remember saving pennies so I could get a Wendy's burger when I was a teen.
Nothing else would do. McD's, BK, forget about it. Somewhere along the
line things changed... I haven;'t been to Arby's in about 20 years. It was
okay. Better now? Anyone?

Jill

I remember Arby's when they first opened. Seems I recall that one
could get a decent roast beef sandwich there. But, for the last 25
years, I don't know how they have stayed alive. Horrendous help, and
worse food.
I used to wonder if they were just fronts for something illegal. Never
saw more than two cars parked outside of my local Arby's at any given
time.

They have an advertising campaign out right now promoting their new
image. Something along the lines of "We know we ****ed up before,
so we're going to be better now". So maybe they'll improve for a
few months, then drop dead again.

They said they weren't going to co-brand, but in some regions,
Wendy's is selling a roast beef sandwiches (without the Arby's
name).

But arbys bought Wendys. They will likely do one of 2 things. Operate
them as the real meat operation they currently are or cheapen them up by
converting them to the meat like offerings they sell.

I am hoping they go for co-branding as some chains have done; two menus
within one location. One of our local Hardee's has now become Hardee's/Red
Burrito; Pizza Hut has a few co-branded stores around town (don't recall
off-hand what the other half is)

How would that be an improvement? They would need to put up 2 menus with
different headings. One would state something like "meat items on this
menu contain real meat" and the other would need to read "meat items on
this menu contain a manufactured composite meat like product"

burgers were sold with the 'special' sauce. And to all and sundry who were
there that night, Hardees was further known not as the 'Home of the Whopper'
but 'Home of the Jerk Burger'.......not urban legend, folks. This one I was
actually there on the periphery.

jissum's probably better for you than hardee's mayonnaise.

Oh NO! My first introduction to "31-flavors" of hot dogs!

My car to this day wears the der weinersnitzel antenna topper hot dogger. I
have several of them!

I didn't actually like their hot dogs, for the record!

Mine's from Jack In The Box. Jack's head, wearing a Dodgers ball cap.

I have an Oakland Raiders antenna topper I display every so often during
football season. Get a lot of honks and one finger salutes from drivers
here in Philly.

Darn Raiders, ain't done nothing since the 1983 season superbowl victory
against the Washington Redskins. Nothing since.

Andy
Season ticket holder, no longer.

And a South Park "Kenny" and a Union 76 antenna topper

Hardee's really did improve their food, so it worked. They went from
way below average, to above average. Wendy's is pretty marginal, and
Arby's is near the bottom of the barrel, occupying a position not far
above Rally's/Checkers.
If Arby's wants to improve their food, they need to steal these folks'
model:
