At least in this part of the world, Wendy's has always been reliably decent fast food. Guess that's about to change. TammyM TammyM, I wish I could predict ordinary fast food becoming extra-ordinary but sadly I can't! LOL!!! Best, Andy Perhaps extraordinarily bad. Does that count? Since we don't eat beef, haven't been to either in many years. |

TammyM I remember saving pennies so I could get a Wendy's burger when I was a teen. Nothing else would do. McD's, BK, forget about it. Somewhere along the line things changed... I haven;'t been to Arby's in about 20 years. It was okay. Better now? Anyone? Jill I remember Arby's when they first opened. Seems I recall that one could get a decent roast beef sandwich there. But, for the last 25 years, I don't know how they have stayed alive. Horrendous help, and worse food. I used to wonder if they were just fronts for something illegal. Never saw more than two cars parked outside of my local Arby's at any given time. |

Yeah! Maybe Arby's will start selling beef now. They are located much closer to me than any Wendy's; if they just sold beef, I'd go there on occasion. They have an advertising campaign out right now promoting their new image. Something along the lines of "We know we ****ed up before, so we're going to be better now". So maybe they'll improve for a few months, then drop dead again. -sw |

Operate them as the real meat operation they currently are or cheapen them up by converting them to the meat like offerings they sell. I am hoping they go for co-branding as some chains have done; two menus within one location. One of our local Hardee's has now become Hardee's/Red Burrito; Pizza Hut has a few co-branded stores around town (don't recall off-hand what the other half is) How would that be an improvement? They would need to put up 2 menus with different headings. One would state something like "meat items on this menu contain real meat" and the other would need to read "meat items on this menu contain a manufactured composite meat like product" |

How long it had been going on, no one knew, but he was 'seen' enjoying the mayonaisse by another employee who went and got the manager who witnessed the consumation of the act and him stirring it in the mayo. That's when all hell broke lose....... Could never eat there again after that. Never knew how many burgers were sold with the 'special' sauce. And to all and sundry who were there that night, Hardees was further known not as the 'Home of the Whopper' but 'Home of the Jerk Burger'.......not urban legend, folks. This one I was actually there on the periphery. -ginny jissum's probably better for you than hardee's mayonnaise. your pal, blake |

Get a lot of honks and one finger salutes from drivers here in Philly. Darn Raiders, ain't done nothing since the 1983 season superbowl victory against the Washington Redskins. Nothing since. Andy Season ticket holder, no longer. And a South Park "Kenny" and a Union 76 antenna topper |

They copy that campaign from AOL It's the same promotion Hardee's did a few years ago. Hardee's really did improve their food, so it worked. They went from way below average, to above average. Wendy's is pretty marginal, and Arby's is near the bottom of the barrel, occupying a position not far above Rally's/Checkers. If Arby's wants to improve their food, they need to steal these folks' model: http://lionschoice.com/home_index.html -sw --Bryan |
