Hello,
Someone gave us a big bag of fresh picked Arizona pecans. We went out and bought a nut cracker, and sat down with a few beers to enjoy*fresh*pecans. Unfortunately, when you break open the shell, the nut inside stays attached to the web of the shell and you can't get anything worth eating. What is the proper method to eat raw pecans? Dave |

Dave With the caveat that I've never personnally tried any of these, the most popular nutcracker for pecans seems to be the ones that crack them by applying the pressure, or shock, to the two pointey ends rather than trying to crack them at the middle. A quick search on Google for "pecan nutcracker" turned up a large number of hits... take your choice. Google is your friend. Ron Kelley |
