Perhaps these are not. Thanks L Sorry it took so long to respond, but I think this is what you're talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulab_jamun At the bottom of the article there are links to recipes; there's also a recipe for gulab jamun in one of the Vegetarian Epicure books, but I don't remember which one (and I'm not home at the moment to check).
