Nah; no need.
When strawberries are in season and shortcake is afoot, I like to slice
the berries and sprinkle them with some vanilla sugar and orange juice
before using them for the shortcake dessert. Pretty good.

Sounds similar to mine except I use orange zest instead of the juice.

BTW, my mom's name is Melba. Do they call you Meb too?
