"Becca" wrote Some of my friends think cilantro tastes like soap, so they never eat it. There are definitely differences in the way taste buds work. That, and I think my associating cilantro with mexican flavors is what grossed me out thinking about it mixed with coconut milk. But to each her own. I would not make it but I would certainly taste it. |

cyberWAD wrote: "Becca" wrote It is a popular combination in Thai and Vietnamese recipes. The recipe may call it Cilantro instead of Coriander. Thank you, Becca. There lies the problem--I am one of those people to whom Cilantro/Coriander tastes terrible. So I guess it is not the combination--the thought of that spice alone is repulsive to me. Possibly because you are also averse to the taste of semen... Stick with me, kid, and in NO time you'll go from delicately nibbling cilantro to GOBBLING it up in copious quantities... Are you "game", cyberWAD...??? :-D -- Best Greg "I am smarter than you think I am" - Maryanne "Loafhead" Kehoe to me in alt.gossip.celebrities |

Something to have out, before I even think about trying to make it, for sure. |

Hi there. I have come accross a great coriander recipe (in one of my herb garden books) if anyone wants to give it a go. Ingredients: 1 medium sized chopped onion, 2 handfulls of chicken pieces, chopped bunch of coriander (the more the better), a can of coconut milk, salt, pepper. Stir fry all of the ingredients, onion first. When chicken cooked, use with pasta or rice. It is delicious. Have made it a few times now. Was just wondering if anyone else has some coriander recipes besides salsa, as I have loads of corriander in the garden. TIA Niki Hi Niki I have a recipe you might like INGREDIENTS .ADD 1 HANDFUL OF CHILLIS(OR MORE),6 CLOVES OF GARLIC,OLIVE OIL (10 TABLESPOONS),CORIANDER (2 BUNDLES), SALT TO TASTE AND JUICE OF 2 LEMONS INTO A BLENDER.
