Of course you did. Because you can't do anything yourself.

Well I wasn't honest, I am trying to build my first real web site and
this is the only active food forum I know.
I guess this is kind "promote" but food is my main hobby, and I think
my site will find those perfect recipes.
basically this site is actually for the British audience, if u select
the chef checkbox its will go and look for recipes of those
famous celebrity Chefs like Keith Floyd, Nigella Lawson or Antony
Worrall

sorry
James

Newbies who venture into these rec.food.cooking waters have
never cracked open a cookbook. Their entire cooking "experience" is
either
fast food, food from a restaurant chain, or Food TV.

For what it's worth, when I first started cooking on my own and going out on
a limb more than my parents expected (both have been excellent teachers),
all my info came from cookbooks. Some were new that I had bought (I still
cherish my Frugal Gourmet Immigrant book), or from library book sales (can't
beat 1,001 Chinese recipes that is more about technique than actual
recipes).

Like many have suggested, I use the recipe sites that I do use (mostly
allrecipes.com) as a springboard for what I'm trying to do. For some reason
the older I get, the more I tend to rely on recipes. Not too sure why it
is. Maybe getting tired of the same ol' 'hash' that kept coming out of the
one skillet type meals I was making. They looked like dog food, but were
actually very tasty.

And as far as Food TV goes... The only show I watch on a semi regular basis
is Good Eats. Not really for the recipes, but more for the how's and why's,
almost like Mr. Wizard for food (may he rest in peace).

Just my two pennies.
