I'll agree when you can show me an ongoing debate about people feeling ill from eating pepper. sigh That's too easy: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...&btnG=S earch Almost as many hits as MSG. I notice you didn't want to bring up salt - which is supposedly killing people VIA hypertension. Not to mention fat, another crucial flavoring that is killing people. So what's different about MSG, salt, fat, and pepper? MSG isn't killing people like salt - that I've heard of, at least. -sw How do you explain the fact that good cooks can make fabulous food without adding MSG? most good cooks would not completely rule out any ingredient, especially a spice-type ingredient. your pal, blake Is polysorbate-80 a "spice type ingredient"? When I think of spices, I tend to think mostly of things which come from plants. polysorbate-80 is not remotely like m.s.g., or a spice for that matter. don't be stupider than you have to be. your pal, blake We're all done here. It has become a game, not a discussion. Heh heh. So, you admit you've lost? Typical post from the loser. |

Problem is, most people won't let you. --Bryan I spent a year socializing off & on with a chef trained at Culinary Institute. We discussed MSG once, after ordering at a Chinese restaurant. He said the subject never comes up in classes at CIA. This doesn't address all the exceptions which others will now introduce to the discussion, but we can't control that and who cares. well, if you can't trust one chef at the c.i.a., who can you trust? your pal, blake How about all his teachers, who never mentioned MSG? if they all cooked european-style food, it's very plausible. there are other styles of cooking. your pal, blake |
