You've obviously never had rhubarb. I swear you can't kill it, no
matter what.

Cherry tomatoes is another that won't die. Even in Kentucky with snow in the
winter it comes back like a weed. I planted one plant 3 years ago and last
year cut it down. Its backkkkkkkk.

Wild raspberries are another; I don't know about domestic raspberries,
if there is such a thing. I couldn't kill it even by pouring kerosene
on it.

I drink kerosene. Nothing wrong with it. I'll die of something sooner or
later. ;-)

When I was a kid, we let them ripen on the tree, they become a mush. Have
you ever seen breadfruit (in the tropics)? It has different stages, as does
paw paws.

The ripened paw paws, we would just suck out the mush and eat it. I was say
it is akin to if you took a ripe mango and pureed it. Taste it in the fully
ripened stage and see if there is something you'd like to do with it -- look
for some mango recipes for some smoothies, maybe. You are one lucky person.
I've read that they usually grow in wild-type areas where there are a lot of
overgrown trees surrounding them.

I'm glad I stumbled into this thread. Although I lived in Paw Paw
country in my childhood (just up the road from Paw Paw Michigan), I
never saw a tree or even the fruit. My son has an unidentified tree
in his new back yard and I'm wondering now if it's a Paw Paw. The
leaves resemble avocado tree leaves, but they grow in "fans" for lack
of a better term. This picture is a pretty good representation of it.

I could take a picture of it later today and post if anyone *knows*
what it looks like. Anyway, this tree has clusters of something that
is too hard to be a fruit, but it's not a nut either... it's seedlike.
I'm wondering now if there is a fruit under that shell.

8.. The only vegetable or fruit never sold frozen, canned, processed,
cooked, or in any other form but fresh Lettuce.

Gloria pointed out that lettuce is sold processed -- shredded in bags,
cut in bags, et cetera. So THERE!

I got all these except for:

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for
several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year.
What are the only two perennial vegetables?

I only got asparagus of the two.

After about 50 years, our rhubarb finally ran out and stopped
growing. Might have had something to do with the apple tree
overshadowing it finally.

Bananas come in jars, as baby food. That's why I disqualified them.
