Since most of the year I use frozen veggies (they come with
instructionsG), the microwave is the most often used for cooking
those puppies. Otherwise, I like roasted veggies, and that means the
oven.

When cooking meat, I usually use the oven (or toaster oven if it's
fish), not the stovetop. I like to make a lot so there's plenty for
quick meals in the freezer.

I have gone off frozen veggies - altho' I do occasionally cook peas in the
MW. (The frozen veggies we get here in RSA are not very nice, IMHO). My MW
usually gets used for defrosting/heating up leftovers. I don't often use it
to defrost uncooked meat - I prefer to do that in the fridge overnight, or
sometimes even on the counter top if it's not gonna take too long.

When cooking meat, I usually use the oven (or toaster oven if it's
fish), not the stovetop. I like to make a lot so there's plenty for

Don't have a toaster oven... My MW is one of those combination
MW/Convection/Grill things - I think they call the "grill" part a "broiler"
in the USA? But even then I don't use it much for cooking. Also, it depends
on the time of year - in summer we grill our meat outdoors most weekends
too, and in winter I do make quite a lot of roasts/potroasts/casseroles in
the oven. But I do use my stovetop for making most of my veggies and quite
a lot of meats too.

Now why did I have a sneaking suspicion that you'd choose that one?
It seems to be very popular with the ladies

Cathy laughs: just imagine all of us mooching around the kitchen in one of
those?

It is summer here. That means cooking on the BBQ. Corn gets grilled,
veggies become veggiebabs, and most of the time we have salads or other
fresh raw produce. . I have not used the stove for vegetable sin months,
and I cannot remember the last time I used the microwave. I would just as
well get rid of it and reclaim some counter space.

Very predictable so far with 90% using microwaves for re-heating. :-)
It is what we use ours for the majority of the time, but I do
occasionally cook veggies in it. I mostly steam those on the stove top
tho' or stir fry.

The only meat that really works in the m-wave is chicken.
It tends to ruin the texture of mammal meat.
