Koko,

Thank you. I'll be nibbling at it all day.

It certainly perfumed the house nicely.

Andy, I just finished eating a dish very close to that with white
rice, but I put Trader Joe's General Tsao's sauce on the vegetables. I
had never tried that particular sauce before; it was OK, but not spicy
enough for me.

Since the "Asian Ingredient Scare," I have noticed that almost all of
Trader Joe's Country of Origin ingredients are left out, leaving me
to wonder about the soy sauce, etc. which make up this product.

If I don't post anymore, I've succumbed to a rare disease - adios!

That's a valid concern in anyone's book, I think!!!

I've succumbed to a common disease, gout. Instead of "kicking it up a
notch," I've been quick to ratchet it down a couple rungs in the kitchen. I
tend to go to extremes when it comes to diet and health. If I'm OCD for any
reason, that's it.

Bon apetit,

Andy

It looks good, but without any ham (or tasso or pork sausage) I don't
think you're allowed to call it "jambalaya". Ham is where the "jamba"
part of the name comes from)

Bob,

Yeah, that was brought to my attention earlier. I usually use hot Italian
sausage but since gout this is the meatless version. Now I'll just call it
simply rice and veggies.

Andy, you have my permission to call it "... jambalaya." ;-)
oh, oh -- or you could if you wish call it 'balaya.' That might do.
Ask zxcvbob if you are allowed to do that.

"Vegelaya" it is.

Thanks!

"Lumps" Vegelaya: wasn't he a punch-drunk boxer?

Since ham is jambon... would it just be "laya"?
