Cause I had my mouth set on bacon and cheddar
Because the one I ordered cost a dollar more than what I was given

besides, I did eat some of it; I bit it knowing I was going to take it
back.
I knew they were just going to toss it.

Gently used.

that's putting it mild

My piggy bank has a mastercard logo on it.

she's all tuckered out right now

Supply and demand. If you increase the burger supply you decrease the burger
demand.

I believe it's against the law to sell used food.

And they wouldn't want to create a policy where it's yours for free if they
make a mistake. That would just give people the impression that they make a
lot of mistakes. It would also create a clientele that expected lots of
freebies--poor tippers, I would imagine.

Because the demand is satisfied..... I can testify to that. Hubbies
thirst for In N Out Burgers was quenched after one opened up a few
miles away. We no longer have to drive the highway trying to spot an
In N Out sign when we're "out and about".

I have to say, there must be something good in a burger, why do we
crave them sometimes it seems like the perfect food.

I believe there is some sort of bodily addiction thingy to fat?
maybe it's mental and we need to believe we are having "meat"?

sometimes.. I NEED biscuit and gravy

once in a while

or hit the big greasy buffet somewhere in town.

ooo ooo, we have RMWC (a womens college)...
on Sundays they have a brunch! it's open to public.

They really put the food out. Waffle station, omelet station, steak,
fruit, pans of hot butter and syrup, fruit, cookies, ice cream,
spinach salads yah yah...

a whole island of drinks, coffee, hot choc. milk, soft drinks, teas,
etc.

I always go for the steaks, or ribbons of steak... and a nice choc.
chip waffle.

Can you guess where I am having breakfast in the morning? It's like 5
mins from here.

That's the place. They haven't renovated far as I know. Haven't been
since this past winter.

I have to say, as wonderful as the food is, not to mention the token
cost...
there is mostly girls walking around in night gowns and jammies. That
is not a bad thing. My point is... there are not many civilians..
always surprising.

lol, it's trewww

I always have some choc milk while Im there, sooo rich and chocolaty

iiii settle for a big bowl of cereal with icy cold milk, for I head
off to bid

It's a small California chain and still family owned. More power to
them! I know it will change significantly when they sell out.

I can almost hear your contempt for the dive

ok, I played their theme song at the link

"n and out, n and out, that's what a hambeerger is aaaall about :|" I
think they're rubbing it in.. mocking the public.

boy, they nailed that one didn't they. Next time hubby buys a burger
there, tell him to toss it in the toilet and cut out the middle man.
(makes fast food even faster)

Wow! A similar situation happened to me just last night. Three friends
and I met at Fergie's which is a small Irish bar in Center City
Philadelphia. We went there to listen to an Irish folk band.

I ordered some mild buffalo chicken wings for an appetizer. When the
wings were served, I ordered a cheese burger with sautéed mushrooms.

The wings were served quickly. Then the house lights were dimmed.
Shortly after I finished my wings, my burger was served. The room was
fairly dark, so when I picked up the bun to add Heinz ketchup, I noticed
some gloppy stuff on it, but I couldn't see it clearly, just that the
bun was slimy with some goopy stuff. I didn't complain, I just used a
napkin to wipe off the bun. Then I noticed the burger had some bacon on
it. I figured the waitress wrote down the wrong burger name on her order
sheet, but the bacon looked good so I was going to eat that burger. Just
as I was ready to add ketchup, the waitress ran up and apologized. Said
she gave me the wrong burger, and she offered to serve me the hamburger
I ordered, so we swapped burgers.

Since the waitress quickly realized the mistake on her own, I didn't
have a chance to eat any of the first burger. I could see the waitress
rightly disposed of the wrong burger. I assume she also apologized to
the person who ordered the goopy burger.

The second burger was fine. Other then the mixup with my burger, the
service was superb, so we left the waitress a nice tip when we left
nearly 3 hours later. The music was very nice too.

The insurance companies would frown on that practice too. I am sure the
restaurant's management would also be concerned that an employee might
intentionally make burgers in error for friends so they get to eat for
free.

I hope they don't sell out. There's an In-N-Out burger place in Las
Vegas. I always make a point of stopping there for lunch at least once
whenever I visit Las Vegas; which averages about twice a year. Their
burgers are awesome for fast food burgers.
