Whew. Ron decided to make a traditional Easter dinner,
some chicken/sausage/hot peppers dish in the latest Cook's Illustrated. I was upstairs when all of a sudden a burning/tearing sensation hit. Apparently seconds after the hot cherry peppers hit the vinegar. It was delicious once I got over the shock. nancy |

My perfect sinus clearer is grating horseradish root. Last Easter Vigile I cleared out the kitchen and had Spawn yelling, "What are you tryin' t' do? Gas me outta the house?!" It was delicious once I got over the shock. Indeed... The Ranger |

My daughter entered the kitchen, winced, and staggered back: "What did you DO?" she demanded. It was delicious on grilled pork. -- modom http://www.koyote.com/users/modom/home.html |

I was poking around a brand-new Asian supermarket near our place today. They sell 14kg (30 pound, give or take) cans of hot pepper paste. Send your sinuses to the next galaxy! Make a few Purple Jesus'. A bottle of Everclear, a bottle of grape juice and a mop bucket. Drink a few of those and you honestly see a purple Jesus. Maybe a pinch of fresh grated root might bring on the 12 Apostles as well. -ginny (who has been relegated to the back deck when grinding horseradish) |
