Serious Cookbook, Manic Pig
Is the title of an article in today's New York Times food section about
a cookbook by the chef and staff (!) of a Montreal restaurant. For those who can access it, the article is a hoot and the cookbook sounds like a treat. Written in French, with a version in English, so far distributed only in Canada. -aem http://tinyurl.com/yj2zb5 |

I wish they'd show a preview of the index in the English version. I bought "The Joy of French Cooking" at a yard sale for $0.25 but a major portion of the index is in French, rendering it fairly useless for many who aren't familiar with the language.
