Default Tea and killfile questions

Download a copy of Gravity newsreader from

http://cws.internet.com/file/11436.htm

and give it a try. It's an "orphan" in the sense that the company that
originated the program no longer exists, but it is supported on a best-
effort basis by one of the original developers. But it really doesn't
need much in the way of ongoing support/development in any case. It's
about the best free news reader that I've seen.

Thunderbird is ok, but its filtering capability is pretty primitive.
Basic killfile or subject keywords works, but fancier stuff like
cross-posted newsgroups (really useful around here) doesn't.

I've noticed. I'm back to the relatively easy ignoring of threads that
I'm not interested in. Whatever works, eh?

Have him explain the annoyance of "top posting" too sometime, 'k?

It's not a bad thing, except to control freaks, Goomba.

Nonsense. It's a hindrance to effective communication.

No. Google Groups could be better if it offered some filter
mechanisms, but killfile capability would be a waste of effort. The

nanosecond. -aem

True again. But I don't even want to see Sheldon's name. I don't want
him to exist in my little world.

Second question, is it possible to killfile someone if I'm using google
to access ngs? If so, how?
TIA!

Saw this on the net somewhe

I don't killfile people. I can never get it right.
Somehow I tend to leave out the "file" part.

I have no idea which "Brian" this is - but he deserves a few accolades
for this one
