Yeah, I'll get on that.

I'm getting tired enough of these blogspot spammers to consider adding
a filter to knock out any message with blogspot.com in it. I hate the
thought of filtering on the message body though, that's bound to slow
loading down trememdously.

If you take a look at blogspots (owned by Google) home page you will
find this:

"Quick Cash

cashola With our new AdSense tool, it's now easier than ever to make
money by blogging."

And of course there is no contact information because Google doesn't
want to be bothered.

This is why Google doesn't do anything about spammers. Because
they own blogspot, and they make money off of the people spamming
the groups (using Google Groups, of course) telling them to come
to blogspot.

Yeah, I know.

Just kill-file all Google posts. Google is Evil.

There are decent people that use GG (I had to for several months in
2005, not that I'm decent or anything). The real solution would be the
Usenet Death Penalty against GG, but I doubt you could get anybody
brave enought to lead THAT charge.

With the proliferation of torrent-based file-sharing, I suspect
NSP's are experiencing a decline in subscriptions. And more and
more ISP's are dropping Usenet support, that means more people
will use Google.

It would be in the NSP's best interest to UDP Google as I'd use
pay for a subscription just to text groups. IF Google wasn't on
the scene. Who's gonna pay separately to receive a bunch of spam?

Sounds like a manifesto: "The Business Case for Google Groups UDP".

ObFood: 1 dozen HUGE raw oysters shooters for dinner last night.
Topped with extra liquor, a touch of sriracha and a couple chunks
of fresh salsa.

I'm thinging some sort of chicken curry tonight.
