Default 1985 Fannie Farmer Cookbook

Can I get some opinions on the 1985 edition of the Fannie Farmer
Cookbook? I'm looking for good large print cookbooks, and this is one
of the few I've even heard of. Would it be a good choice?

Thanks,
Carol

FWIW, the one cookbook that I reach for most often just happens to be
sitting next to me --
the 1983 edition of the Fannie Farmer cookbook. If we can assume
minimal changes between editions, I suspect it will be a fine choice.

Thank you. In all likelihood, it's the same edition. It was made
available in large print two years later. There's often a lag between
regular books and their large print editions. Thanks so much!

Is this the one that was revised by Marion Cunningham? If so, it has
an excellent reputation.

Sorry, I don't have that one. My brother Scott gave me the 1990 version for
Christmas, 1991. It's a nice book. I also have the 1896 version, just for
grins. It's also a very nice book.

As cookbooks go, the Fannie Farmer books are good ones.

Mine is wore out and falling apart. Many pages are dog eared from being
folded over to mark a page or have ripped out sections of other cookbooks
inserted as bookmarks.
It was a wedding present about 24 years ago and I often wish I'd courted and
married the lovely person who gave it to us rather than the bitch I did.

After hearing this and all the other comments about the book, I'm
definitely on the hunt for a copy. Starting with FreeCycle.
Amazon.com sellers have some copies, but the GOOD copy is kinda pricy.

Sorry to hear that. I suppose she's no longer available, huh?

I don't think Kat married again, however I know I won't!
I lost track of her about fifteen years ago.
Many years ago I made a choice, to court an older divorce women or someone
closer to my own age.
Big mistake!
