Default what the hell...?

I roasted a turkey a few days ago, as we had houseguests. There was a
half-turkey left in the pan plus the neck, wing and back section from
the other half. Last night DH put the entire pan in the oven at 250 and
left it in there....forever. Finally at 10:30 he asked me to turn the
oven off. He eventually went upstairs to do *something* with the
turkey - what the hell he did, I know not. Today I find the turkey in
the pan in the fridge, half covered with foil, and the turkey is now
just a breast half and back, neck and whoknowswhat carcass, laying on
its side in the pan gravy. What the hell am I supposed to do with it
now...? I suspect the breast meat is dry as boot leather. Sheesh.
When he gets home, I will ask him what he plans to do with HIS turkey.
It was going to be meat for sandwiches but not anymore...

Make sandwiches for him.

Why can't you shred it and warm it up in some bbq sauce and put it on a bun
and have a pulled turkey bbq sandwich with cheese?!

Sounds like it's time for the soup pot to come out. Turkey makes good
broth, especially with all that dehydrated meat....

It could also be chopped up and made into turkey salad or turkey al' la'
king.

It did, and it was goood! The meat wasn't in as bad of shape as I
thought. I was just more disgusted that he *ruined* it for use as
sandwiches.

LOL...Our kitchen is upstairs. I think he whacked off the leg and
thigh and ate it, because there was a big bowl with curry sauce in the
sink the next morning. But I'm not *exactly* sure.

Gee, DH and I have great communication, eh? LOL...

Make "deviled" turkey spread, Underwood-style. Except better.
Mix with a little pork fat or mayo, onions, salt, pepper, etc...
and pulverize in the food processor or meat grinder.

[insert Underwood logo of little red guy with pitch-fork. No,
Sheldon - not Underoo's - UNDERWOOD]

I've made that spread a gazillion times -- it's how I use the meat from
chicken soup. Never thought to call it Deviled. Huh. Don't forget the
celery. I don't like to chop it too finely (I do it all in the fp,
pulsing several/many times) -- I like it on the loose side rather than a
pasty consistency.
