anyone having experience with them?
found some here in the Bronx, n.y absolutely fantastic--hotter than
habernero with a real different taste

BZZZT!!! Habanero peppers are the hottest in the world, with the "Red Savina"
variety of Habanero being the hottest. Weri-weri's aren't even close.

I hadn't heard of them, but I see they are a recent cultivar (reported in March
of 2006). 876,000 - 970,000 Scoville units - now that's HOT!!!

not actually a recent cultivar....maybe recently discovered by north
americans... they've been popular in west indian (specifically Guyanese
and Trinidadian) cuisine forever. I know my great-grandmother has eaten
Weri-Weri pepper sauce since she was young...and shes pushing 95 right
now.

Oops, you mis-read the above posts. It's the Naga Dorset that is mentioned
as the recent cultivar, not the Weri-Weri.
