Glucerna bars were first designed for use with diabetic children to help keep them from having hypos during the night. They didn't seem to sell very well so they changed their tune and are now marketing them for diabetics in general. However if you look at one of those bars, you'll find that it is loaded with chemicals and stuff you don't want to eat. Like high fructose corn syrup. If it's a bar you want, you'll do better with something cheaper and tastier like a granola bar. Just check the label because the carb count can vary. -- See my webpage: http://mysite.verizon.net/juliebove/index.htm |

wrote in message oups.com... I found some information related to diabetes, just check it out and learn new things....... http://www.medical-health-care-infor...d/Diabetes.asp Not new - pretty outdated and not very useful or accurate on diet. "People with type 1 diabetes should eat at about the same times each day and try to be consistent with the types of food they choose. This helps to prevent blood sugars from becoming extremely high or low. Type 2 diabetics should follow a well-balanced and low-fat diet. " Alan's already posted the best link for a Type 2: http://www.alt-support-diabetes.org/NewlyDiagnosed.htm Nicky. -- A1c 10.5/5.4/6 T2 DX 05/2004 1g Metformin, 100ug Thyroxine 95/74/72Kg |

How did that advice help you, and what numbers do you see these days since following it? Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia. d&e, metformin 2x500mg -- Everything in Moderation - Except Laughter. |
