Chicken Tikka

This chicken dish is an extremely popular Indian appetizer and is quick
and easy to cook. Chicken Tikka can also be served as a main course for four

Ingredients
1 lb. chicken, skinned, boned and cubed
1 tsp. ginger pulp
1 tsp. garlic pulp
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup plain, lowfat yogurt
4 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. chopped fresh coriander
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Garnish
1 small onion
lime wedges
mixed salad
fresh coriander or cilantro

1. In med. bowl mix together the chicken, garlic, ginger, chili powder,
turmeric, salt, yogurt, lemon juice, and fresh coriander (cilantro) and
leave to marinate for at least 2 hrs.
2. Place on a grill tray or in a flameproof dish with foil and baste
with the oil
3. Preheat the grill to medium. Grill the chicken for 15-20 minutes
until cooked, turning and basting 2-3 ties. Serve with garnish ingredients.
