9PM BG 96. Jun made stir-fried rock cod, little mushrooms, green onion,
garlic and ginger, topped with fried garlic and FGBP. Sauce was thickened
with corn starch. Gotta find 'guar gum'. Really good. One hour PP BG 102.

Xantham gum might be easier to find, and does the same job.

Thanks, Nicky. In the USA, Bob's Red Mill packages guar gum in 1/2 lb bags,
which are sold in large supermarkets for around $5. Someone mentioned using
okra, which we always have on hand, as a thickener, so I'll have Jun try
that first.

Guar gum contains zanthan gum so basically they're the same. We grow
okra and each year dehydrate a bunch of it to grind into okra powder, a
wonderful thickener akin to guar gum or xanthum gum.

Dehydrate and grind! Thanks, hombre. ;-)
