Default convection oven question

I recently moved into an apartment with a gas range. I'm glad to get back
to gas for stovetop cooking, especially pressure cooking, however, the oven
is a different story. It is an old apartment building with an old stove and
pre-heating the oven is akin to experiencing the outer reaches of hell. By
the time it reaches 350, even my cats are hoping that I will open the
refrigerator door ror a waft of cool air. I've looked into several
solutions and the following seems perfect for the price and space and
cooking for a family of one.

Home Shopping Network ( HSN #546-203 ) Convection Oven $90 ( regularly
$110, list $200 )

Does anyone have experience with this unit? Is it a cheap joke or should it
be mandatory for every kitchen in the land? I await your wisdom and
experiences.

Thank you.

Ken
