Hi,
I have been unable to find any belgian waffle makers in the UK, other than expensive proffessional dualit ones. It's ironic really, that so many are available in the US when the UK is 10x closer to Belgium, but i guess thats life. The only cheap ones I've found here is one which makes thin heart shaped waffles, and is available on Amazon and Ebay by a company called Prima or Petra. This isn't a proper thick rectangular one that I want. I have found a one that you put on a cooker top, but i want an automatic. Google is really screwed up these days by thousands of sites with thousands of keywords on trying to get you to buy products on commission, all of which are in the US and don't ship to the UK. Even if they did, the voltage would be wrong and I'd have to pay import duty ontop of extorsionate shipping, combined with a voltage transformer. Can anyone give me some tips please? Thanks Tony |

Krups make a Belgian waffle machine - I assume that they will have both 110v and 230v versions. Shipping and taxes within the EU will likely be less than trying to import from the US - you may have to change the plug, but that's easy and cheap. Someone at uk.food+drink.misc might have a source. |

Have you checked Walmart? They usually have them. The original poster is in the United Kingdom, (not the United States) and there are no Walmarts there - although Walmart has bought a UK supermarket chain. |
