BB Howdy, I certainly don't claim to be an expert, but... For the last ten years or so, I have been using skillets with a coating called "Ceramiguard." Here is a link: http://www.nextdaygourmet.com/NDG/pr...productID=3577 The release properties are remarkable, and the pans seem to last until some friend helps out in the kitchen and decides to grind a fork into the surface of the pans... HTH, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

I like them because they are non stick inside and outside and the design provides for even cooking with a relatively light weight for the performance. I've been using them for about 6 years now and have no reason to switch. Take care. Fred The Good Gourmet http://www.thegoodgourmet.com |

What is the best nonstick surface available. There is so many and the
ll claim to be the best. I've been very happy with QVC's "cook's essentials" pans. I sometimes use metal utensils in my pans (some things just need a fork) and they're still in good shape. My All Clad nonstick hasn't been nearly as durable. (However, the cook's essentials pans seem to change periodically - I don't know if the pans I have are still being sold, they seem to sell a variety of types under the same name.) Karen |

I don't hesitate at all to use metal in 'em. I've had the set for about three years and no problems. -- Steve |

Karen Karen, Did you complain to the All-Clad people? So far I haven't had any trouble, but you never know. Supposedly a lifetime warranty on All-Clad. Chris in Pearland, TX |
