I was told that the oven needs a new thermostat. The range is about 40 years
old. The symptom is that the oven will not light even though the pilot is on. The service person said that it needed a new thermostat and that because it is 40 years old the part might not be available. They have not been able to locate one yet. Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance Ray |

There are places that restore ranges that are much older than 40 years. If you can't get a part through normal sources, I would contact a restoration firm for advice. Mid-century ranges are the range. I'm sure there is a solution. Another suggestion would be to contact www.repairclinic.com They might not have the part listed online, but I have found them willing to work with you. Send them email or call them. |
