Look neat. The size is a tad small compared to a regular oven but since it
can do two at a time, it would be fine for smaller pizza. Great if you have
some friends over for DIY pizza.

We have more appliances than counter space so I'll pass on it.

I have the counter space, so that's not a problem. However, several in rfc
have raised other issues that I think I better consider: thermal mass, heat
loss, recovery, hot exterior, etc.

If you buy it through Amazon (fulfilled by Brookstone), it looks
like it'll only cost you about $200 shipped...

You know Wayne, I'd search out more specifications about this unit before
taking a plunge, like: How many heating elements are there and where are
they? Are they exposed? The comments about heat loss when you open, and
thermal mass are very important. I can't believe this can't be much more
than a glorified two tier toaster oven. As well, a stone only 12" in
diameter is going to result in a very small pizza. It sure would be assuring
to hear some real reviews about this item.

The 800 degree max temp is nice, but does it really reach that temp?
Upper elements and the low height of the chambers make me wonder if the
top of your pizza would be broiled instead of baked.

That's a good question. After all the questions raised about this unit, I
doubt I'll be buying it.

The stones will provide thermal mass. A regular oven has little thermal
mass anyway. You need bricks or heavy steel, 1/4" or more to provide real
mass. Recovery will depend on the elements. Give the size, I doubt it
would be much less than a regular electric oven.
I'd like to see it up close for that kind of money though, or actual
experience from a user, not speculation.
