My kitchen was recently demolished and had someone came and removed all the
appliances and cabinets. I am doing demolition of my kitchen. After the demo is over, I saw two vent pipes that exhaust to the roof, about seven feet apart. One of them was where the range hood used to be which has a galvanized 4" vent pipe up to the roof. About seven feet over there is another galvanized vent pipe, slightly smaller, like a 3", I asked the demo guys what that was connected to and they didn't remember. From what I could tell it is located at the same location as a tall cabinet that went from floor to ceiling. That tall cabinet has a double oven/microwave built-in unit (Thermotronics by Thermador), very old unit my guess is 30 years? Is it possible that those built-in ovens require a dedicated vent exhaust? I have never owned one myself so have no idea. Thanks, MC |
